Gaining Experience

The leveling system here is quite different from what many of you may be used to however, if you ever played Pokémon as a child, it should be quite familiar to you in a way. Throughout your time here on DI there will be a variety of ways to collect and earn EXP. The basic run down is located below.

01. Completing threads — As you complete threads on the site, which means that you enter with a character and make an exit post with your character, you can collect EXP. Depending upon the length of your thread will depend upon how much EXP you receive.

SMALL THREAD (-10 posts) – 50 EXP
MEDIUM THREAD (10-20 posts) – 100 EXP
LONG THREAD (20-30 posts) – 150 EXP
HUGE THREAD (30+ posts) – 200 EXP

02. Other In Character Achievements — While we love that you all finish threads, there are other achievements that you gain from interacting in character that can gain you EXP.

75 IC posts – 50 EXP
150 IC posts – 75 EXP
250 IC posts – 100 EXP
Hold the rank of Countess or above – 100 EXP
Have first litter – 20 points
Have fifth litter – 75 points

03. Out of Character Achievements — We value everything that you do on the site as a person, especially if it means that you have given back to the community as a whole. Here are some out of character achievements that can gain you EXP of any of your accounts.

Complete 10 studio requests – 50 or 75 points
Win OTM – 100 points
Active for 6 months – 100 points
Create something used on the site – 50 points
Refer 5 people (must put name in \‘how\’d you find us\’) – 20 points

04. Participating Actively in the Community — Throughout the moving months of the site, the staff will pick the most active players on the site. These can be anything from constantly finishing their work in their studios to posting crazy amounts of posts in a week.

Points will vary depending upon the amount of activity.

05. Sparing and Fights — While spars are considered friendly spats without attempting to induce injury and fights are to induce injury, these are both great ways to wrack up EXP. Not only will you get them for completing the thread but winning spars and fights will earn you EXP depending upon your and your opponent's levels.

Winning a Fight Against a Stronger Opponent – 1500 EXP
Winning a Fight Against a Normal Opponent – 1000 EXP
Default Winning a Fight – 500 EXP
Loosing a Fight Against an Opponent – -500 EXP
Default Loosing a Fight – 0 EXP

06. Contests — These out of character events help to bring the community together as a whole. People can come together, work together and the like to have a constant motion of both in character and out of character events to keep things moving smoothly.

Points will vary depending upon the contest.
