Lonely Wolf

Valkyrie treads along the beaten path listening intently to the sound of water falling down a cliff. Her wings give a bit of a flutter, to awaken the stilling blood as her mind trails off into a thousand whispers...
'so hungry....need food...need to hunt....so alone...the pain...'

Valkyries mind flashes back to the last time she was at the water falls; the sight of her reflection in one of the calmer pools of water that led off from the water. Her black fur in the shape of a Siberian Husky, the blood red layer following and the white under coat. Her wings black as the night sky that hugs the moon inside its grasps. That was a happier time, a time where she always smiled.



She stops to sit down...ears pointed back...listening...waiting desperately for company...will she hear someone? Or be alone for yet another night?
